Dear Friends of the ITC Building,

Our designation is advancing to the Texas Historical Commission, possibly in October. Our opportunity to provide public comment directly to the commissioners has been extended.  Can we ask one more favor?

Please email a comment in favor of landmarking the ITC Building to the Texas Historical Commission by October 4, 2024. Your comment should be addressed to the Texas Historical Commission and sent to Charles.Sadnick@thc.texas.gov .

This template letter outlines key reasons why it's in the public interest to preserve this irreplaceable world’s fair icon from HemisFair ’68 - one of only 4% of sites connected to Latino heritage listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Thanks to your efforts, we have surpassed 1,800 signatures!  We hope to meet our next goal of 2,500 before we present our petition the commissioners.  The Commission may designate over the objection of the university if there is clear and convincing evidence that the designation is in the public interest.  Together, we are the public, so let’s continue to speak up!
