Last night as we got ready for bed I asked my husband, "do you think we'll have a hundred signatures by morning?"
He said, "dream big. At least 250."
Today we have over 700 signatures. You all did that. Every share, every signature, every comment, and a special shout-out to the individuals that boosted this petition with your hard earned money. I see each and every one of you.
I included the photo posted by the Michigan Library Association on Facebook in June of last year so you can see how amazing the librarians at Bellaire are. They've dealt with bigotry before. Please, give them a like on Facebook (Bellaire Public Library), call them at 231-533-8814, or email them at bellairelibrary@gmail.com and tell them how much you appreciate their hard work in curating an inclusive, diverse collection of books. They've worked hard to make the library a safe space for everyone and they need to hear how much we appreciate them.
