To the Minnesota Craft Beer community:
Did you know you can’t buy a growler from only FIVE breweries in Minnesota? Once a brewery produces 20,000 barrels of beer in a year, Minnesota law punishes them by removing an important piece of the craft beer experience: the growler.
Surly, Fulton, Indeed, Lift Bridge, Castle Danger, and Schell’s have formed the Alliance of Minnesota Craft Breweries to call for the removal of the growler cap. You’ve told us you want growler sales at all Minnesota breweries. We hear you—now let’s make sure lawmakers hear you, too!
Help the Alliance by tweeting, calling or emailing your local lawmaker before Monday’s special session. Let them know you want the growler cap removed so all breweries in Minnesota can sell them. Use your voice, join the movement and show your support on social media by using #FreeTheGrowler.
The craft beer industry is vital to Minnesota’s economy and benefits communities across our state. Right now, Minnesota breweries need your support. You’ve built the craft brew industry in this state, now brewers need your help defending it.
Sincerely,
Alliance of Minnesota Craft Breweries
