Thank you again for signing and supporting this petition. As of now, it has been one full month since it was started, and I wanted to take a moment to both restate why this petition exists and share an update.
This petition was created to protect the Goodwill bins store that so many people in our community rely on—shoppers, resellers, families on tight budgets, and individuals who depend on the bins for affordable access to clothing and household goods. Many of you shared personal stories about how important this location is to you, and those comments are a powerful reminder of why this space matters.
I visited the store in person on January 13, and it continues to be a busy, well-attended location, with strong daily use and clear community demand—exactly what so many of you have described in your comments.
As of now, there have been no visible changes. An employee I spoke with on January 2, 2026 shared that staff still have no information about when any changes are planned.
I want to be clear that what follows is speculation, but it feels worth sharing: it is possible that this petition is being seen internally and may be slowing or delaying any decisions. That is my hope. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts to reach out, I have received no response from the CEO.
Because there has been no official communication from a reliable source, the most important thing we can do right now is keep this petition visible. Continued signatures, comments, and shares help demonstrate that this store matters to the community and should not be changed without transparency or public input.
