Hi everyone, my name is Rose Stuart. I want to address the dissection of frogs in schools. Frog dissection is unethical and unnecessary! Frog dissection is contributing to the endangerment of frogs. Frogs are a very important part of our ecosystem and we need them!! Schools should use a virtual dissection software, rather than dissecting real frogs. Frog dissection is a real issue. In regions including the US, frogs are taken out of the wild, severely depleting wild populations. You are probably thinking well then what about raising captive-bred frogs, but they often carry harmful infectious diseases that they spread to native frog populations. It is not too common but some of these frogs escape from their holding facilities, reproduce, and then prey on native frogs and other wildlife. This is an issue we need to fix!!
