Well, here is something we can all agree on: Bilingual education, cross cultural sharing, and our Riverhead Dual Language Program are all wonderful benefits we want more of!

This petition is in response to the school district announcing they would probably need staff and faculty cuts for the 2024/2025 school year, and some parents fearing, and some rumors starting, that the RCSD Dual Language Program could be one of the places that would be lost in the shuffle.

At Tuesday's school board meeting (3/19 at 7pm at the MIDDLE School, we should hear more about the school district's plans -- and we should get hints about if our petition swayed the deliberations!

Thanks so much to Sanna and the PTO parents who truly care about their children's education!

Thanks to people from other communities who chimed in to say that staff and faculty cuts are not what people want! And, for recognizing the value of a Dual Language Program in the world!
