Absolutely thrilled to share that the Doreen Red Gums have been saved!! This has been a 3 year campaign so very close to my heart. Thank you to the traditional custodians, arborists, activists, National Trust, the MP's who heard us, the property owners, MRV for stepping up and listening ( the old growth gums are may be the first or of a few to have a road moved and diverted around them )! And a huge thank you to the amazing Doreen community for standing strong and supporting Australian cultural heritage, it will be greatly appreciated for generations to come! Power to the people!!

For myself personally this has been a wonderful journey, so much learning, connection with like minded souls and the discovery of more heart than I have ever felt. Trees seem to bring out the best in many of us. Keep loving, connecting to nature and preserving our old growth beauties, they are a huge part of the cultural heritage of indigenous Australia and the last 200 years. Listen to the trees they are timeless, an exquisite example of all who we can be.... Deep connection to the land, branching out to the stars they hold more in each limb than any of us will ever know. This is the love that Saved the Doreen Red Gums.
