A couple of days ago, I posted a photograph of ROCHESTER, on our FB Advocacy Page, Chicago: Sit. Stay. Speak (please join, https://www.facebook.com/groups/6475359622552823/?ref=share_group_link)

ROCHESTER was killed last year.  This is a photo of CARDINAL, who was killed earlier this week, almost a year to the day of ROCHESTER’s death, and a day after the Adoption Event at CACC in which 20 dogs were purportedly adopted.

Of all the dogs at CACC, 200 +, most available for adoption, only 10 were altered (spayed or neutered) and ready to go home that day.  The rest have to wait several days to get altered, and already two of the adopters said they were not going back.  Who can blame them?  When they went to adopt they encountered chaos, inefficiency and rudeness.  They had to wait for hours.  Who wants to repeat that grueling experience?

Any dog waiting to be altered takes up a cage for another three to four days.  Had they been ready to go home the day they were adopted, CARDINAL, a sweet, playful, healthy and treatable very good boy, would still be alive and still have a chance to find a loving, committed and responsible home.

It’s easier to kill than to try to save lives at Chicago ACC.

PLEASE SHARE, so we can make it to 15,500 signatures and send it to the decision makers.
