The Coachella Container Park has become more than a place to grab food or drinks — it has become a gathering place for our community.

Local families, young people, visitors, and residents from throughout the eastern Coachella Valley come here to eat, socialize, enjoy the outdoors, watch the sunset, and spend time together. It has created the kind of welcoming “third space” our community desperately needs.

The Container Park is also home to multiple local small businesses. These vendors work through the extreme desert heat and cold, employ local people, serve our community, collect and pay applicable taxes, and have invested their time, money, and hearts into building something special in Coachella.

Now, the future of the Coachella Container Park is uncertain.

On September 9, 2026 at 6:00 PM, the Coachella City Council is expected to consider whether the permits allowing the Container Park to continue operating will be renewed.

We are asking the City of Coachella and our elected leaders to recognize the positive impact this space has had on our community and allow the Coachella Container Park to continue operating.

Coachella deserves spaces where local entrepreneurs can grow, families can gather, and residents can feel proud of what is being created in their own city.

El Coachella Container Park se ha convertido en mucho más que un lugar para comprar comida o bebidas: se ha convertido en un espacio de encuentro para nuestra comunidad.

Familias, jóvenes, visitantes y residentes de todo el este del Valle de Coachella vienen aquí para comer, convivir, disfrutar del aire libre, ver el atardecer y pasar tiempo juntos. Se ha creado ese tipo de “tercer espacio” acogedor que nuestra comunidad tanto necesita.

El Container Park también es el hogar de varios pequeños negocios locales. Estos emprendedores trabajan durante el calor extremo del desierto y también durante los meses fríos, generan empleos locales, sirven a nuestra comunidad, recaudan y pagan los impuestos correspondientes, y han invertido su tiempo, dinero y corazón en crear algo verdaderamente especial en Coachella.

Hoy, el futuro del Coachella Container Park es incierto.

El 9 de septiembre de 2026 a las 6:00 PM, se espera que el Concejo Municipal de Coachella considere si se renovarán los permisos que permiten que el Container Park continúe operando.

Le pedimos a la Ciudad de Coachella y a nuestros representantes que reconozcan el impacto positivo que este espacio ha tenido en nuestra comunidad y que permitan que el Coachella Container Park continúe operando.

Coachella merece espacios donde los emprendedores locales puedan crecer, donde las familias puedan reunirse y donde los residentes puedan sentirse orgullosos de lo que se está creando en su propia ciudad.
