AN UPDATE:
OK I know this sounds weird, but hear me out... Due to inconsistencies when communicating with the Wyre council planning team, it turns out that there is more time still to lodge public comment objections to application 26/00116/FUL
Depending on who I speak to in that team, when I have asked for the deadline for when the council close off public comment submissions, they tell me different things. 3 weeks ago, one member of staff told me it was the initial target date of hearing; 21st April 2026 but could be ( with guesstimating unsure tone ) up to the 24th April 2026. But as of a few days ago, I spoke to another member of staff in that team who now tell me the deadline is the 24th April 2026 ( the decision date ). So depending on who you ask, you hear different things, so I hope you can understand how confusing this has been, and why my communications to you result in the deadline date being bounced around.
SO WHAT THIS MEANS IN REAL TERMS: We now have until the 24th April 20226 to get our public comments of opposition in. I have no idea what time they turn this function off, but I assume that it will be just before the application is heard by delegation, or committee.
If you have already done so, then I thank you wholeheartedly. Your contribution has been invaluable.
If you have not already done so, then please, I beseach you, I implore you, to submit your message /letter of objection to Wyre council planning team via the link below. It is IMPERATIVE:
https://publicaccess.wyre.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=TA93D4SDN4C00
I also submitted our petition's signature list to Wyre council o the 19/04/2026. At that time the signatures were at 521 signatures, and I had to prove that real people with verified signatures had signed, so the full list with demographic breakdown of post code regions was added to prove the majority were local signatures.
Of the 521 signatures, 344 were from the North West of the UK. 244 of these were from FY postcodes, and 132 of those were from FY5 postcodes.
The rest were from other parts of the UK.
AND I THANK YOU ALL FOR SIGNING.
Anyway, please upload your public comments of objection if you have not done so already, and I will return with more updates when I have them.
Regards,
Ian French
