Dear Blakes Walk supporters, tree lovers, residents,

Since the last update, a 'Blakes Walk Tree Specialist Group' has been established.

This comprises two members from the Trees Committee of the Friends of Lewes,  a local  arboriculturist, a local tree and environmental consultant, and the East Sussex County Council arboriculture officer.

Together they have agreed a future management plan for the trees on Blakes Walk.

Attached is a letter from ESCC regarding the plan:

I followed this up by asking Friends of Lewes why the poplars needed any work done and added that some residents had concerns that any work could potentially lead to disease.
