30.10.2021

Did you know the carved Jack-O-Lanterns illuminated along the canal at Yardley, PA’s annual Canal-O-Ween celebration are grown locally on Patterson Farm by the Stewart family of Charlann Farms in Lower Makefield township? The Stewart’s are 5th generation farmers. They rent the Patterson Farm land, where they grow grains, vegetables and other produce, including pumpkins!

This year 350 pumpkins will be available for the public to carve. Canal-O-Ween begins tomorrow so come to Yardley and enjoy the pumpkin harvest grown in the good earth of Patterson Farm.

Preservation of local agriculture is one of the reasons why the volunteers of Patterson Farm Preservation, Inc. advocate so strongly for the perpetual preservation of the entire Patterson Farm. Local farms matter.
