As you may know, the Sydney Gateway project has now released their Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and draft Major Development Plan (MDP) for public exhibition.
The comments from everyone's submissions earlier in the year were to have fed into these document. To replace the existing route we will lose, the new planned permanent route chosen, is the alignment on the other side of the Alexandra Canal. This is the shortest and flattest route and will provide a similar level of amenity to the existing route.
The project is holding upcoming information sessions in Eastgardens and Tempe:
Saturday 30 November - Eastgardens Library - 10am to 1pm
Tuesday 3 December - Clock On/Off Café, Tempe - 4pm to 7pm
Saturday 7 December - Clock On/Off Café, Tempe - 10am to 1pm
Submissions are made via the NSW Major Projects Planning portal and close 19 December 2019.
You may wish to start by looking at section 3.4 of the Guide to the EIS and preliminary draft MDP, which outlines Managing pedestrian and cyclist access.
We'll provide more updates once the team has had a chance to look through the information.
