The No 840 Bus Service from Leeds to Whitby via places such as Malton Pickering Thornton Dale Goathland etc is under review by its operator Transdev. The section between Malton and Whitby is under threat due to low customer numbers. If scrapped there will be NO public transport at all leaving passengers completely stranded . Transdev want the section from Malton to Whitby to be subsidised by North Yorkshire County Council.
