This morning, I learned that 31 individuals are slated for deportation to Rwanda, with potentially up to 130 more facing the same fate. While this is not an indictment against Rwanda itself, I must express my disagreement with the UK government's stance on limiting or deterring individuals seeking refuge in England. I believe in welcoming displaced people who seek to build better lives here.

The system's current state is chaotic, and the approach lacks understanding and compassion. Unfortunately, this is hardly surprising given the current Ministry's track record. I've reached a point where I can no longer remain silent on such matters or confine my thoughts and feelings to Word documents and social media posts.

I doubt the effectiveness of petitioning Members of Parliament on this issue. It's disheartening to think that such actions might result in police intervention, simply for advocating against the policies of the Johnson regime.

The UK stands for unity, not unilateral decisions. Boris Johnson has the power to halt these deportations, but it seems he chooses not to. Thus, the responsibility falls on individuals with a strong conscience to speak out against injustice.

Until next time, farewell.
