Squid Game: Unleashed has rapidly become one of the most successful mobile game releases of 2024–2025, achieving millions of downloads worldwide and maintaining a healthy, steady player base across multiple regions. Its popularity is driven not only by gameplay, but by something far more rare in modern gaming:
a thriving online community where players form friendships, support each other, and return daily.

Why We’re Concerned:
In late October 2025, Netflix abruptly terminated Boss Fight Entertainment, the studio responsible for this game’s development and maintenance. This decision was made overnight, leaving no clear public roadmap, communication plan, or confirmation of what comes next.

Since then, players have been left confused and shut out of information about the future of the game they’ve invested time, money, and emotion into.

Without clarity, the entire community that has grown alongside this game is at risk of disappearing.

This community represents tens of thousands of daily active players, millions of total downloads worldwide, a consistently growing and international fanbase, social connections and friendships forged across continents, player-driven fan art, clubs, Discord servers, tournaments, and support networks.

This is not a declining game.
It is a thriving online ecosystem — and cutting support now would erase something meaningful for people all over the world.

What We’re Asking From Netflix
We respectfully demand:

1. Public clarity
A transparent statement addressing:

Who is maintaining the game going forward
Whether development will continue
Whether servers are guaranteed long-term
Whether content, updates, and events will continue

2. A commitment to preservation
Guarantee continued support, or at minimum, a responsible sunsetting plan with clear notice.

3. Community acknowledgment
Recognize the enormous cultural and social value this game has created.

4. Reconsideration of the decision
We urge Netflix to reconsider how abruptly Boss Fight Entertainment was terminated, and to provide a clear, stable future for this title.

Why This Matters
Netflix has repeatedly stated it cares about games and players.
This is your chance to prove it.

Shutting down the studio behind Squid Game: Unleashed — without a plan — risks destroying player-purchased content, years of development and a remarkable, rare community.

Millions of people downloaded this game.

Thousands play daily.

The player-driven community is still growing.
