West Hatch RSPCA has posted this update:

"Spearmint has finished her course of antibiotics. She is under assessment now to be sure that her ear infection is completely cleared up. Taking a bit of time to relax by the pool will surely help her recovery too."

Let's hope her ear infection is cleared! What is definitely not clear are their next steps for her future. Will the RSPCA permit Spearmint to live in a sanctuary if she can't be released back into the wild due to her attachment to people? Many seals live fulfilling, healthy lives in captivity. Or will they euthanize her and not give her the option to live out the rest of her life? Why are they still refusing to comment on this very important issue? Only they know the reason.
