Dear Supporters,

We are pleased to share some positive progress as we continue to advocate for truth and transparency in the allocation of field access for clubs within the Sutherland Shire.

Over recent weeks, we have had the opportunity to consult with new members of the council who are committed to ensuring that clubs are treated fairly and equitably moving forward and agree that coercive calls to clubs should be fully investigated.

It is reassuring to have genuine advocates within the council who are determined to prevent any club from being unfairly disadvantaged without just cause.

As we move progress we thought it was important to communicate next steps.Each year the all of the EC and Presidents positions are up for re-elections. A number of you have reached out to stand for both the EC and President's role which is great to see. Here are the key dates you should be aware of. 

• An EC Meeting will take place tomorrow Tuesday 15th October
  From Wednesday onwards the nomination forms are sent out for all 9 positions 
• If you would like to nominate yourself in ANY position - you need to contact your club. Your application will then be endorsed (signed off) by your club secretary or president. If you do not currently have a club, contact any of the clubs for assistance.
• Nominations close November 5th 5pm.
• November 26th the clubs will vote for the new President, Vice President, Treasurer and Executive Committee. 

We strongly encourage those of you who have shown your passion and dedication for change to consider volunteering for any of the Executive Committee positions or the President's role.

This is your opportunity to be the change you want to see within the SSFA. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the future of soccer in the Sutherland Shire.
