Dear Save Sledge Forest Supporters,

We just received word that the August 4th New Hanover County Commissioners meeting has been cancelled. (no explanation was given.) While this delays our plans to present our petition signatures, it does not slow our momentum.

We’re currently working on next steps and will update you soon—possibly with plans to deliver the signatures at the September meeting. Stay tuned for the new date and details.

In the meantime, something interesting happened... Over the past five days, we saw a "wave" of new petition signatures. Could it be the summer weather? The inspiring power of community? Or maybe, when a certain floating house dropped anchor in the headlines, folks started wondering what else might be adrift in this development plan. 🛥️👀🌊
