3rd June 2018 Objection to Licensing Application 2018/00539/LAPR Dear Supporters of the Shepherd’s Bush Market businesses, thank you so much for submitting objection to the recent Alcohol Licensing Application 2018/00539/LAPR relating to the Old Laundry Site Area, which neighbours to Shepherd’s Bush Market and many local residents, such as those within Pennard Road, London W12. It is the view of the Shepherd’s Bush Market Tenants’ Association (SBMTA) that this application may cause an increase in crime and antisocial behaviour within the local area, and may cause a terrible escalation of noise pollution, causing detriment to the local residents and the Shepherd’s Bush Market traders. Shepherd’s Bush Market has certainly been a famous area for many generations and whilst it passionately welcomes visitors of all ages, It is felt that this alcohol licence application, if passed, may disrupt the character of the area, and instigating impairment especially to senior citizens and the very young. There is additional anxiety that the configuration of the Laundry Site Area, the alleged fire exits, and the proposal of late operating hours, may raise concerns of public safety and fire risks. It is the SBMTA’s understanding that a hearing regarding this worrying licencing application may be heard on Wednesday 4th July 2018 at the Hammersmith & Fulham Council. We are aware that the Old Laundry Site Area, which relates to this licensing application, has already created anxiety and invoked complaint to the Hammersmith & Fulham Council from the local community. Further information on this upsetting application may be found on the Hammersmith & Fulham Council Website: http://public-access.lbhf.gov.uk/online-applications/licencingApplicationDetails.do?activeTab=dates&keyVal=P7H7RJBI16B00 The SBMTA truly thank each and everyone for your kindness, time, and aid. Together we can protect and cradle our London ! Best Wishes, The Shepherd’s Bush Market Tenants’ Association
