A message from Mel and the team

We did it…………..We won back our lease and a right to stay for another 5 years. We can 
continue to do what we love in the place we love, Bute Park. 

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will always be grateful. 

Your support was phenomenal and continues to be, we were blown away by the out pouring of 
kindness you showed us.

It was a long, tiresome and unnecessary fight. 
Unfortunately in the last 2 years we have experienced some horrible things like- gaslighting, doors closed on us at every turn, slander, lies and ignorance. I knew things weren’t being handled correctly and I just wasn’t prepared to sit back and accept it. This couldn’t be the end, not in this way. So we fought back, and you helped us……You lifted us up, you told us we were doing a good job, and that we deserved to stay. 

You saved a small, sustainable independent business from closing, you saved jobs and you saved this magical space. 

We are excited about the future, and for the first time in years not only do we have job security, 
but we can start planning some wonderful things. First is to upgrade old equipment and update bits and bobs that have been on hold due to the last few years. 

We will have an open day, a day where we invite you all to come drink coffee with us in the sun, 
and listen to some bands. Drinks will be free, as a thank you to you all. Date and details are yet to be confirmed, but do keep an eye on the socials. We will be updating the community art work in 
light of our news and resilience.
