We still fight.

It has been over one year since we were informed that EDQ has allocated a parcel of our farm for a future Primary School (PS004).We have some general questions with respect to the submissions made and the subsequent approved report.
1. Was the Education Department informed that 1 of 2 petitions submitted was directly related to our parcel of land and it comprised of >5,000 signatures?
That’s more than 2% of the population of Ipswich objecting to our farm being acquired. Scott’s farm may be small but we have serviced the larger Ipswich community for over 100 years. The Public Service guiding ethics principle of promoting public good must also apply to the service to community groups.
2. Is any weight given to objections submitted by solicitors on behalf of the landowners?
We are concerned as to how exactly was our land selected? We require further answers, clarification and accountability on behalf of both the developers and EDQ in this regard.
We also request that you provide us with the relevant contact person within the Queensland Education Department so that we may appropriately direct all future correspondence in respect of our concerns.
