Help Ritual Fight
The Issue
Hello,
My name is Holly and I own/operate Ritual, a metaphysical boutique and studio in Yarmouth Port, MA.
Our business has been on the receiving end of harassment from our building's condo association (business condos, not residential), and they are bringing litigation against us.
We love being a part of the community and for a little over 2 years we have provided metaphysical supplies, esoteric knowledge, spiritual support, and more importantly, a safe space where people can come and just vibe, destress, and energetically heal and be themselves.
This all started when the condo association forbade me from holding outdoor events after having held two successful artisan markets on the High Holiday of Samhain. To save the markets I tried to communicate and negotiate and meet them all the way on their concerns, and they still denied me permission to move forward. So We started a change.org petition to try to change their hearts and minds. Unfortunately they were unmoved.
In a condo owner's meeting following those events, they came back with a list of condo bylaws that I was supposedly violating, and that they would now be enforcing, including the removal of a patio-slash-outdoor meditation area that they gave me permission to install and that I paid for myself.
They gave me a deadline to comply that they knew would be near-to-impossible to meet, both in terms of time and finances.
In addition to the bylaw violations that aren’t unilaterally enforced, one of the condo owners took garbage out of the dumpster and left it on our patio. Today they removed trees from behind our unit despite many requests to leave them as part of our spiritual practice.
The financial, emotional, spiritual, and energetic damage they have done to my business this year has been substantial, and now we are adding legal fees to this burden as I try to defend my business.
The community support has been amazing, but unfortunately with the financial damage they've caused we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I can not afford to relocate, and the pressure they are putting on my business will put me under.
I only want to operate my business as I was allowed to run it in 2021 and 2022. I only want to bring a sense of community and prosperity to everyone in the area, the association included. I only want to be allowed to engage in business practices that are standard for the area and my industry.
Thank you,
Holly @ Ritual

We are asking for help swaying the condo association's mind at 939 Rt 6A, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675 to allow Salty Witch Market to continue in this location.
Recently, the Board of Managers of our Condo Association have recently voted to disallow the holding of events in our parking area.
This change means that Salty Witch Market will no longer be a viable project for my business to host. Further, the financial damage the canceling of planned events will cause my business will be catastrophic.
Currently we have the support of several tenants and owners in our building but it hasn't been enough to sway the vote of the board. Hopefully with enough support from the community we'll be able to change some hearts and minds.
In the past, this event has served as a platform for Solopreneurs, Artisans, Healers, Herbalists, and more. We love supporting our community and bringing people together.
Please show your support for this event by signing our petition.
