The moment I watched this show, I was hooked. Bright colors, hilarious jokes, relatable characters, and so much more made the show quickly become one of my favorites. Plus, it introduced me to the rest of the TMNT franchise. And don't even get me started on the movie! It was so sad that I was crying!

But you know what made my tears flow harder than the movie? Finding out the show was canceled. All of the wasted potential with characters and story simply because no one would buy the toys that, honestly, are truly ugly. 

This isn't to say the show wasn't great, as I said before, it was. All of the characters had their clear issues, and all were shown through the episodes. Unlike some shows where side characters or even main characters are just... there. There was a great representation of neurodivergence, LGBTQ+, the challenges of parenting, and so forth. That's a lot to ask from a show.

I later learned about how much they planned to do with the show! My personal favorite is introducing a new mutant turtle! Just imagine what they could do with that! And, characters like Cassandra Jones and Baron Draxum wouldn't have had such rushed character development.

But, with a new season, we could get all of this and more! The movie introduces new trauma for the turtles, Casey Jr. potentially meeting his mom, Mikey with his new powers, and a brand new story! Plus, we could get more background on those rushed or unused characters! And it's likely the show would make more money than ever, considering how many people want this to happen (and if Nickelodeon fixes those toys...)

All this to say, Rise can still bounce back! But we need to fight for them. Sign this petition, and other petitions, make your own, and do whatever you need to do! Together, we can revive this show and allow it to develop onto something even better than its former self.
