Sadly, some stooges who support certain local politicians are trying to cause our petition to fail. It is an all too familiar story. You won’t see the petition on several prominent local social media groups as the administrators have banned me. Some of the stooges then subject me to online harassment elsewhere which has resulted in police involvement. They have managed to have my account suspended on ‘Nextdoor’ too. This is all because our petition to save RBS Giffnock is making progress.
The local politicians who these stooges support stay quiet. (I say 'local', but not one of them lives in Giffnock). It suits them to have these people do the dirty work. This isn’t how it used to be.
People are fed up with this sort of toxic environment. People are fed up with the absence of leadership. It all leads to one thing: the slow erosion of community. That’s one of the reasons people support the petition. Please keep sharing it.
