North Parramatta Residents Action Group
Jul 11, 2016
In June 2016 with the relentless lobbying of community groups such as NPRAG an upper house inquiry into the mismanagement of crown lands in NSW from public use and privatised for commercial purposes was formed. Submissions are now being received and the deadline of 24 July has been given. Please take the time to make a submission - you can draw examples to the Parramatta Park Trust land that is threatened by the State Governments proposal to take the land currently leased by Parramatta City Council for the public swimming pool (Crown Land: Lot 2 DP 862127) for a Stadium Precinct with private commercial buildings to be placed on the site under the UGNSW proposed development as well as the Stadium Expansion by Venues NSW and the State Government. With NO CONSULTATION WITH PUBLIC WHO OWN THE LAND! If you are making a submission regarding the land that the pool uses - please remember this is not an inquiry in the swimming pool being demolished. But the land that it uses being taken by the state government to sell for private commercial development without consultation with the community. Please go to the North Parramatta Residents Action Group page to find out how to submit to the inquiry. Thank you.
