Save Paris Wine Bar's Garden!

The Issue

Paris Wine Bar has been the hub of our community for over 10 years. We’re a small, family run, independent business with a very popular terrace.

During the pandemic we invested a considerable amount of money into our garden to keep our business viable. This included the installation of a retractable roof making the garden usable in rain or shine. Since we converted our garden, it now accounts for 85% of our business and has created many jobs.

In March of this year our planning application to keep the roof in place was rejected by Brighton & Hove City Council. This would be a huge detriment to our business for several reasons. There would be a substantial loss of income and the potential loss of jobs. We would have to further invest to modify our garden to make it suitable for year-round use. This combined with the rising costs and business rates and the effect of the pandemic poses as a serious threat to our business.

We are truly overwhelmed with the support you have shown us and for the garden. We’re doing this petition in the hope that Brighton & Hove City Council will reconsider the rejection so our venue can remain open as the lively, meet up place in the heart of Hove.

Can we please count on your signature to show your support? We’re incredibly appreciative and thankful for the support shown and we would like to also thank you for taking your time to read this.
