EPA threatens $1 million fines - please share!

We've been blown away by the support and feedback of our community. Thank you so much. Our solicitor took our fight to the NSW Land and Environment Court last week, appealing our suspension. 

We need your help more than ever. Could you please share our petition?

The Court deemed our matter as trivial, and easy to solve - ordering the EPA to engage with us by way of conciliation.  The earliest the EPA said they could be available for this conversation is 8 November 2023.

Between now and then, the EPA has threatened our green waste business, (JET Group Australia Pty Ltd) with up to $1 million fines if we accept any green waste mulch or soil at our site, stating we must stay closed.

How can our business survive this? We employ 18 locals and our 15,000 customers & businesses rely on us to help their local projects in our community.

Our solicitor is exploring any and all avenues, but in the meantime, your support is instrumental to raise the issue with the EPA, Lake Macquarie Council and, ultimately, Penny Sharpe, the NSW Minister for the Environment.
