We need your help!

Morning my ducks,
Just a little update to say thank you for your support and to ask if you could help us further.
It’s around two weeks until the council’s consultation comes to a close, but our petition has slowed, which means our trees and wildlife need your help!
We have reached 1060 signatures but it isn’t enough to reach our next goal of 1200+, the more people that sign it, the better chance Leafy Lane becomes a talking point at future AVBC meetings. And as this is a site which many issues and constraints including historic activities when it was the Vicarage...; this is a site that certainly needs to come back to the table or even off the table!!
What more can you do?
1) Please copy the link and ask 10 friends or family members which live or work in the Amber Valley area to sign the petition.
If everyone managed to get one person to sign we would have more than enough signatures!
2) Please fill in the Consultation form:
https://www.ambervalley.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/local-plan/
The form helps the Council shape other things in the Local Plan; without any input, things will be forced on us and the Council will say well you had your chance to give us some input or raise your voice and you didn't…
Personally, I would still like to have seen letters sent out with old-fashioned questionnaires, so that everyone gets a voice, however, we will have to work with what is provided!
3) Send an objection letter
Residents living very close by to the site may have received our leaflet with valid non-material reasons asking for help and if you could send a letter of objection to the Council.
I know it’s a big ask, but if you could fill in the form or send your own objection that would be a fantastic help!
While it might just get filed to use at a later date, the Council have already acknowledged mine to look at after the consultation! For many sending a letter is the only Democratic way for them to voice their concerns, especially when for some, forms are over whelming or not accessible.
If you would like a copy of our Leaflet or Template please send an email to leafylanewoods@gmail.com
Lastly, thank you to those that read our updates and got us in the paper, it was appreciated. It was an interesting and positive read, minus one odd and negative comment from Sandra.. I have responded to this on the Heanor Peoples Community Facebook page, you can read it here:
That’s all for now. If you have any questions, please email us at leafylanewoods@gmail.com
