First off, the yellow sign in the picture indicates the site where new developments are planned. Do they even understand the impact this will have on all of us, or do they simply not care?

I recently attended the Santa Rosa County Public Meeting on 24th of April 25 to share my concerns about the flooding issues in our neighborhood. Over the past month, I’ve contacted multiple departments, but unfortunately, there has been no real progress.

Development in our neighborhood began in 1991, which predates modern stormwater retention regulations. The absence of a retention pond has contributed to recurring flooding during heavy rainfall events.

I also submitted a formal comment to the East Navarre Drainage Study through the Santa Rosa County’s official platform to make sure our concerns are part of the public record.

Now, another lot on our street is being listed for sale, and I’m trying to purchase it to prevent further construction that could worsen the flooding. I’m doing everything I can, and I’m incredibly thankful for your support.

But I can’t do this alone — I need more people to join me at public meetings and speak up. The more voices we have, the stronger we stand.

Thank you for being part of this effort.

Please share this petition, it is not over yet.
