Update Nov 4

Thank you all for your support!  Good news and bad news

1) The City has delayed the chop until November 28th.

2) We have confirmed with 2 independent arborists that BIG TREE is indeed diseased with a fast spreading sulphur fungus that is irreversible. It has lived a great 200+ year life and it is time :(sad

3) The city will meet with the public (kind of last minute) this morning at 11 (FRI  Nov 4)

4) We hope the tenor of the meeting will be to discuss next steps - what to replace in BIG TREE's space ... no one is interested in leaving an 8foot stump 

5) We are pleased that Dan Kalb will be present as any good replacement  (which should include a firestorm memorial) will require the coordination of multiple departments and a lot more money
