Good evening everyone.
I want to come on here one last time and say thank you to everyone who has signed this petition. Every single one of you helped in our fight in opposition to policy 5301 in our school system. Although we didn’t succeed, I will still be forever grateful for each and every one of you for making your voice heard. Tonight’s board meeting was truly incredible on our part and we fought so hard to try to get this policy to not be executed. Even if we did not win, we at least know now that even if it may not seem like it, there are so many people in Norfolk and our community that care about kids like me. Transgender individuals, queer individuals, everyone. Once again, thank you so much to everyone for contributing, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you. I also want to let you know that no matter who you are, you are loved and cared for. We are amazing. Thank you for trying to help our Transgender students.
