Town Hall Videos are Up

By popular request, we put up videos from our Town Hall last week: https://youtu.be/e9om-XA5OD4 Please take some time to watch the four videos and to share with anyone that you think may be interested.

Neighbors for Buses hosted a Town Hall on the Howard County School Bus Crisis on September 19th, 2023 at the Central Branch of the Howard County Library. This Town Hall was the first opportunity that the public has had to meet to specifically discuss concerns regarding recent changes to school bus service in Howard County. The event was a huge success and we had six news groups cover the event.

To allow virtual attendance, individuals in the community were also invited to attend via Zoom. Unfortunately, due to local computer overload, the zoom recording shut down. Once we realized this, one of our volunteers took video from her phone of the meeting. The majority of proceedings were captured in this way and can be viewed on YouTube in four videos. We apologize that the intro and ending clips were missed. We are also posting a summary of emerging themes from the Town Hall to capture in written form what was discussed.

Neighbors for Buses is a non-partisan grassroots community advocacy group made up of concerned community members in Howard County that voluntarily advocate for transportation for education. The group was founded in April 2023 after school buses were cut from thousands of children in Howard County without a public hearing. We encourage civil discourse and do not think that the answer to the current school bus crisis lies solely in any one particular solution.
