Hi everyone, this a critical update.

We understand Bayside Council is about to consider moving our SDHS from its current central, accessible and popular Melrose St location to the detriment of volunteers and Sandringham Village - the local community currently working hard to activate historic Melrose St. As signatories to this petition, thanks for your support. We are hopeful that Councilors will also see the sense in keeping SDHS in its most successful home to date, for all the reasons already included in this petition.

We ask that this Council respects the exceptional work done by this group of volunteers, creating such an effective Historical Society, and suggest we pass on our thoughts to Councilors directly; a Council that may be considering - to quote an historic but appropriate saying - `throwing the baby out with the bath water'.
