Scottish Borders Council have published plans to mothball 11 rural nurseries, including Cockburnspath.

Our next nearest SBC nursery would mean a 1000-mile a month commute by car for each child. This is impossible for families without a car, or with other children, or who work. 

Closing the nursery threatens the Primary School and endangers the vibrancy and sustainability of our wonderful community. There is a real danger than families have to leave the area.
