SAVE OUR REMAINING BEARS OF OUR UNIVERSE by Lars Ole Mortensen The Danish Journalist

The Issue

IS IT TOO LATE FOR OUR LAST REMAINING BEARS...NO,  NEVER TOO LATE.

                              SAVE OUR WORLD'S BEAR POPULATION

by Lars Ole Mortensen The Danish Journalist

I am going to be travelling to the Pacific Northwest this Spring 2024 then on to the Rocky Mountains of NE Colorado and finally to the Rockies of Montana reporting on a growing concern about the illegal hunting of our Pacific Northwest Black Bears and our remaining and elusive Grizzly Bears in Colorado and Montana

BEARS ON ALL OF OUR CONTINENTS ARE NEAR EXTINCTION

The Black Bear is the most common bear throughout the world... The bear have been dramatically reduced with over hunting and being killed by fear from humans.

The South American Speckled Black Bear (also known as the Andean Bear) is nearly gone throughout its once large range. Now there are only very small pockets in the forests of Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru. I have visited Bolivian and Peruvian zoos to observe the treatment and enclosures of these bears. The Andean Bear's closest relative is the already extinct Florida Spectacled Bear. Unique features are in their face, which may resemble eyeglasses in some individuals, and that the "Andean Bear" is distributed along the foothills of the Andes.

The Grizzly Bear is nearly gone. The range of the grizzly bear in the continental U.S. is now only living in two percent (2%) of its original range. Europe's remaining bears exist only in Italy and Austria and few in the forests and mountains of France, they are persecuted and are doomed to extinction within a few years. The Polar Bear is the only species that still lives throughout its original range, but could still face a threat from pollutants in the Arctic.

Please keep in mind that We, as humans, have been the responsible ones to have driven the bear to extinction as well as so many other animals of our world.
