More than 110,000 of you have supported our campaign to save Britain's endangered red squirrels. Now we're asking for just ONE MORE MINUTE of your time.

Our official UK parliamentary petition is LIVE, calling for stronger legal protection for red squirrel breeding and resting sites.

PLEASE SIGN THE NEW PETITION HERE:

Why another petition?

Our original Change.org petition supports our wider five-point recovery plan, including habitat protection, grey squirrel management, fertility control, research and conservation action.

This new parliamentary petition has a different, very specific purpose: to close a longstanding loophole in wildlife law that leaves red squirrel breeding and resting sites with weaker protection than those of beavers, bats and otters.

It follows our first policy briefing, developed with leading red squirrel conservation specialists, and growing national media attention.

At 10,000 signatures, the Government must respond. At 100,000, the petition will be considered for debate in Parliament.

We are already lobbying Parliament. This petition adds another way for the public to demonstrate support for a specific legislative change.

Our new website is live, too!

We've completely revamped Save Our Reds, bringing together our conservation evidence, policy proposals and latest campaign news.

Read our new article explaining the legal loophole and why this change matters:

You've already helped us build a campaign of more than 110,000 supporters. Please help us demonstrate that support for this specific legal change, too.

Sign, share and help keep Britain's native red squirrels firmly on the national agenda.

Thank you for standing with us.
