Little Red is back…and she has a new adventure ahead
It’s Red Squirrel Awareness Week, so it seems the perfect time to bring back one of the fun bits of the Save Our Reds campaign.
Last November, I published Little Red: Warrior Squirrel, a children’s story inspired by the very real struggle facing Britain’s native red squirrels.
Little Red has since found her way into homes across the country and received some lovely reviews, but she's been a little neglected over the past several months while the more serious campaigning work has taken priority. So, for Red Squirrel Awareness Week, Little Red is back!
And there’s more coming.
I’m currently working on a new Little Red book, taking her story further. And something else rather exciting is quietly taking shape behind the scenes too…
Little Red: The Game.
I’m keeping that under wraps for a little longer, but the idea is to let people step into Little Red’s world themselves, with some of the real challenges facing red squirrels woven into the adventure.
Because campaigning isn’t only about petitions, legislation and lobbying. If we want red squirrels to have a future, we also need the next generation to know them, love them and want to protect them.
For now, you can meet Little Red here:
And Little Red: Warrior Squirrel is available on Amazon, Waterstones and through other bookshops:
Little Red: Warrior Squirrel on Amazon UK
And watch this space. Little Red’s next adventure is already beginning…
Thank you for your support.
