Update on Progress - September 2023

Following the site meeting last month our Conservation Officer has confirmed receipt of revised plans .
If implemented, the proposed works will retain the significance of the building without the immediate need for potential high impact works. 
We believe it is essential that these works are undertaken before the onset of winter and we require evidence of Star Pubs financial commitment to the future of The Cock. 

It is understood that Star pubs are prepared to release an operator from all but internal repair responsibilities.

We will be looking for a commitment from Star Pubs that all repairs are undertaken as part of their investment scheme and, given the age of the property and its historical significance, that the condition of the pub is monitored with works requiring remediation being urgently undertaken.
