Our local priest, Father Sotirios shared the devastating news that he is being relocated all the way to Cairns, from Western Sydney. As a community our hearts are broken, and we are standing together to please ask the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia to rethink this decision and keep our Priest at our Parish. Father Sotirios is a great man and a huge part of our community, he makes each and every person feel welcomed into our church, Greek Orthodox or not, he ensures we all feel safe and welcomed in the church, he feeds the homeless and has made a positive impact in our community by showing us the way, not just preaching it. Father Sotirios is a father of 5 kids, imagine how broken his children will be, a father losing his 5 children. PLEASE keep our Priest at our church!!! It does not seem right to take a father away from his children, and a Priest away from our community, many people will be disappointed in the system if this goes ahead. We do not have long to fight for our Parish. Please hear us!
