Since the start of this petition, we have achieved the written support of our MP Paulette Hamilton
and our two local Councillors Robert Alden and Gareth Moore. We have campaigned acively outside
the Library gathering several hundred signatures and raising the awareness of the closure threat to
the Erdington Library. There is now a city-wide campaign called Birmingham Loves Libraries of which we are a part of, with the aim of throwing out the current plans and budget cuts to our much-loved libraries. We were successful in saving the Library in 2023 and we need your continuing support to win again in 2024.
