Help our small town keep the public library local! It has come to our attention that the Boone Area Library is facing relocation outside of it's home town/township. This library has been a staple for the town and our community. It is easily accessible and in walking distance from anywhere in town. The library and its circulation staff have established a family-like relationship with the patrons and made the library feel welcoming and at home. Moving into a new building will damage these relationships and make it much harder for some of the patrons to access our building. 

Unfortunately, the current building has issues that they do not have the funds to fix. However, moving the library into a new building (that is said to need some fixing and wanted renovations - making the library feel more professional, rather than welcoming and comfortable) will not change that. They will still be missing the funds to support that decision, as well. We would love to be able to accept donations in the future, but we want to make sure that your donations are going towards fixing this building and not funding a new one. In addition, the hope is that they will start having more fundraisers and apply for available grants to help fix the building rather than tear us out of it.
