Combat Digital Exclusion and Challenge ID Card Policy: Join Silver Voices Free
We continue to advise members on the landline switchover and it seems that the transition to digital phones is only proceeding slowly in response to our pressure to protect vulnerable customers. But we have a continual battle to stop people being isolated from society by digital exclusion. The latest hair-brained example is the proposal to launch a national digital ID card without having any plan on what this will mean for people without smartphones!
Only Silver Voices is campaigning consistently on these issues and we get stronger each time a new member joins us. We have launched an autumn recruitment campaign offering free membership until the end of the year, with no commitment to join after that. So do join free today by filing in the online form below (and ignoring the payment button if you wish).
