We have until MIDNIGHT tonight (4th Dec 2020) to OBJECT to Mactaggart and Mickel’s latest planning application, to build 75 volume prefabricated houses on Kilmacolm Greenbelt, at the much loved Kilmacolm Meadow (West of Quarry Drive).

*If you don’t want years of heavy machinery drilling into the solid rock.

*If you want to preserve Kilmacolm Greenbelt and this area of outstanding natural beauty, used by many locals, and next to the tranquil Kilmacolm Cemetery.

*If you don’t want Kilmacolm changing massively from a beautiful picturesque village, into a busy car laden town.

Then Object before midnight tonight..

Once one Greenbelt goes, all Greenbelts in Kilmacolm are at risk.

There is no proven need to destroy Greenbelt to build houses by a private developer in Kilmacolm. Mac & Mic have tried to build on this exact same Greenbelt many times before. They keep getting REFUSED. But they keep coming back.

This Planning Application goes against Inverclyde Council Local Development Plan: Section 6 POLICY 14 – GREEN BELT AND COUNTRYSIDE.
