Thanks to those who signed up to speak on last weeks meeting for VIolence Prevention, the presentation has been put off til next wednesday. We continue with the hope of a bann on hate speech, to help with prevention of violence.., stay tuned for next weeks meeting. However, their will be discussion
about anti-semitism early on the agenda, with arts and music late on the agenda

As you can see the very low numbers of classified and certified staff as well as the number of students served, the priority of staffing and programs continue to be low. Most recently some of the best teachers in the arts and music left the district.
I just have to give a HUGE appreciation to the best Music teacher, who was also the only therapist in the district, Ms. Barsotti. After my son faced trauma and ended up at her site, he learned the violin, and she taught him other instruments as well. Even after COvID, she was instrumental in adjusting his practice to online, and I was able to carry on with consistency at home, as I'm a master keyboardist. The arts are Critical for our students and on a consistency, PLEASE ADD YOUR VOICE!!!
In a district where over 30 thousand students are attending, with funding available for every student, the priority continues to be low, and this impacts our most vulnerable students who depend on the arts as a unique way of learning, but for ALL students to be able to engage in positivity through music and arts, and yes, even language is an ART.
WE urge the board to prioritize daily activities through our resolution to keep our students in the most loving spaces, while banning hate speech for our youths to help them be mentally guided as a youth to be in the most loving mindspace,
