Here's what City Staff and NAI Martens want to replace Delano Green Space with.  The apartments will 'back up' to a sidewalk that will run along Mclean Blvd with 0 feet offset (a violation of the Delano Plan & Overlay--allowed because it is a PUD, the "get around" City staff and developers use when they don't want to follow the rules).  The City wants to sacrifice 40 mature trees (that belong to the taxpayer) and diminish the neighborhood, so they can replace taxpayer owned green space with expensive apartments that will uglify N McLean Blvd.

Two things that you can do that will help.

1) Share this petition.  If you've already done it once, do it again please.  If it is in the newsfeed it is already gone for most people.

2) Email Council Woman Maggie Ballard at MBallard@Wichita.gov and ask her to make the motion that the rezoning request by the MAPC be denied.  Email the Mayor too if you can: BWhipple@wichita.gov
