As a resident of Elvington, I am deeply concerned about the possibility of losing a farm that has become such an important part of our local community.

This farm is so much more than an educational facility. It is somewhere grandparents make memories with their grandchildren, local primary schoolchildren learn about animals and nature, and young people with special educational needs develop confidence, independence and valuable life skills.

The farm also brings our village together through three fantastic free annual events — Lambing Day, Winter Wonderland and Summer Fest. These events give families opportunities to enjoy experiences together, regardless of their circumstances.

Living in a small community, I know how important places like this are. They bring generations together, create a sense of belonging and offer opportunities that cannot easily be replaced.

I understand that the future of the farm is now uncertain, and I would hate to see our village lose something that benefits so many people.

I am starting this petition as a concerned local resident because I believe this farm and the opportunities it provides are worth fighting for.

Whether a solution can be found to preserve the existing farm or suitable alternative land can be secured, I want to see these opportunities protected for future generations.

Our village is more than houses and roads. It's the people, the experiences and the places that bring us together. Please help us protect one of them.
