Our Ceroc (Modern Jive) dance classes are at risk in our community. The benefits of these dance classes are manifold. Not only do they offer a fun and energetic way to stay fit, but they also serve as a platform for individuals to meet, socialise, and form meaningful relationships. They promote mental well-being by reducing stress and boosting confidence and self expression. For many, these classes are a weekly escape that brings happiness and a sense of belonging.

However, due to recent policy changes at the USC, these essential classes might soon come to an end. The closure of these classes would mean the loss of a valuable community resource. Such a move would not only affect current participants but also limit future dancers from experiencing the joys and benefits of Modern Jive and Ceroc dancing. These benefits do not stop with just the regular dance class, they also include introduction to other activities (pole dancing, acroyoga etc.), rehearsing and performing for dance shows, not forgeting about the socialising that we always do after our classes as well as taking some of our students to the UK for dance weekends. For some of you, we know that Ceroc feels like a big family.
