On October 29th ' First Cymru' bus company is planning to cut bus routes and change bus times, even cancelling certain routes that will have a dramatic impact on those dependent on there bus service to go about their daily lives.

If First Cymru would to rethink their planned changes to all their bus routes in Wales then those who regularly use the bus to go and get home from work would not have to worry about asking their employer to change your hours, or face the consequences if losing your job. Or, parents would not have to worry how their kids would get home from school or college safely, pensioners and general public that do not drive and wish to go shopping or just to socialise could do so if FIrst Cymru would reconsider their drastic cuts at the end of October.

Otherwise, if they were to go ahead with their threat of bus cuts then everyone dependent on 'First Cymru' buses will be forced to change their lives around the times of their bus service; and not the bus service who will adapt to change their times of the perspective customers.  How will people who finish work after 5pm be able to catch the last bus home at 5:05pm. How will your children who finish late at college after 5pm get home safely.   These draconian cuts will affect everyone dependent on buses.  You would lose your jobs, forced to take taxis when you are already struggling to come to terms with the 'Cost of living Crisis' .  You will be forced into choices , do I get a taxi, or walk home in the dark, and wet weather, because you can't justify spending your money on a taxi and have the heating on at home.  There is another reason that the Welsh Government want us to abide by which is to use public transport to save our environment, we have been reminded often enough that it matters to reduce our carbon footprint. I appeal to all who are dependent on public buses who are facing these cuts to vote for this petition to speak for us to force a debate to force our argument to be heard and no ignored.  

There is news filtering through the local Councillors chambers, and media that from March 2024 there is planned further drastic cuts to bus routes and severe reductions in service by bus companies.  Their title of offering services to the public should be altered to 'public bus businesses'.  As they don't have the public and environmental interests at heart of their company core values; instead we the public are witnessesing profit before all and damn to our carbon footprint.  

There are people out there in our communities relient on bus services to get to and from work, take our kids to and from school; relient on buses because they cannot drive or afford to own a car.  I call on everyone to rally and register their protest to the disruption and diluted bus services that are important to binding our communities together by offering a bus service thats serves all before profit margins.
