Many of the Blantyre community will be completely unaware of these proposed facility closures, which are in the public domain:

- The June Stewart Centre  
- TACT Hall  
- High Blantyre Hall  
- Blantyre Library

We’ve already lost the Jimmy Swinburne Centre, the Willie Devine Centre and Springwell Hall. All vanished from community use, with no community consultation.

Alongside the savage proposals from South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, South Lanarkshire Council are proposing cuts to education, grounds, and services which would have a huge impact to Blantyre.  They are also proposing to remove all funding from Terminal One and Hyper Cyber - this simply cannot happen.

If these new proposals are accepted, our Town will be stripped of our much valued and needed community services and facilities.

We urge you, our community, to sign this petition to save our facilities - once they are gone, they are gone.
